Celina, Texas always comes together for Toys For Tots. This year, The Best Of Celina pulled together toys from a community toy drive as well as something they called Santa's Shoppers.
Santa's Shoppers are The Best Of Celina kids who entered a contest where they showed what Christmas means to them, either in written format or in a picture that they created. Ron & Crystal Lyons then chose 6 of the kids to meet at Walmart in Prosper, Texas to go on a full 15 minute shopping spree. Needless to say, the kids were amazing and filled their carts up! Something really cool that the kids didn't expect is that after shopping for kids in need, they each were told to choose one toy of their choise for themselves as an early Christmas present.
On Tuesday, December 5th, the hundreds and hundreds of toys were carried by members of The Best Of Celina in a human chain all the way from theur Christmas Party to the Toys For Tots event on the Celina downtown square.
